Primitive Gothic Church, built after the Basilica of Saint Denis. During the visit in Notre Dame Cathedral, your guide will explain the symbolism of its exterior architecture: rose windows, flying buttresses and its curious Gallery of Kings.

We will observe the mythical towers where the famous bells, immortalized by Victor Hugo’s novel “ Hunchback of Notre Dame ” with its heroes: Quasimodo and Esmeralda, are situated.

Inside the Cathedral we will admire the huge organs, the beautiful “Piéta” statuary, imitation of the one Michelangelo made in Rome, as well as the wooden panels carved in the 15th century representing scenes from the life of Christ. We will evoke the Coronation of the Emperor Napoleon I immortalized by his official painterJacques-Louis David. The original painting is conserved in the Louvre Museum.
