Pushing the massive wooden door of the Cluny Museum is entering in a unique building that gathers in the heart of Paris: the Gallo-Roman baths of Lutèce built at the end of the 1st century by the Romans and a monastery built at the end of the 15th century.
The museum collections offer a rich panorama on Art history. You may admire the world-famous tapistries representing the Lady with the Unicorn, the medieval statuary of the Notre Dame Cathedral as well as the stained-glass windows of the Sainte-Chapelle or the Golden altar of Basel. These are only some of the masterpieces preserved here. Since its foundation, the Museum continually enriches its acquisitions.
