The city of Rouen is best known for the story of Joan of Arc who lived there in captivity before being burned alive on the city’s market square.
But Rouen is much more. Monet painted the facade of Rouen Cathedral repeatedly, trying to catch the light at each time of the day. Rouen has a beautiful medieval town with more than 2000 half-timbered houses.
I suggest a walk in this magical city which crossed the ages and despite of the bombing during the Second World war has preserved its cultural heritage.
Beautiful visit!
